In the first post, we talk about how to conduct an interview. There're 2 main integrated skills you need to do the same time:

First, let's have a look at this video, performed by members of School of Medicine, U of Western Michigan. You should watch many times to see how they carry on the interview:
Then, you can watch Dr Wynn Tran and I discussed about this video in the meeting with VietMD AME/EBM group with tips and tricks there:
Then, practice yourself based on this short video clip until youi feel you're speak fluently, record your performance with your camera:
Feel free to post your video clips here. We'll share them and comment on your prformance to improve your communication skills.
To Keith: Good communication: clear voice, natural intonation, perfect speed and pause. I know you pretend to wash your hands at the beginning of the interview (very good). But please don’t do that in front of the patient during the real interview, it’s considered pretty rude! You could say “Let me wash my hands” when you enter the room before you turn to the patient. Try not to rub your hands all the time during the interview with no reason.
Sorry Dr. Dinh Nguyen, i did a lot but till this thing make me little more confidence to upload to you. Whatever i will always keep practice, hope you will help us on that road !

To Duy Hai: very good self-introduction, perfect timing for a hand shake, good eye contact. But you should raise your voice a little higher, a little more enthusiasm at the beginning of the last sentence, to make the audience feels you are concerned about her/his problem. Do not lower your tone. It looks like you’re not interested in your job!
To Thuy Tram: perfect eye contact, good intonation, clear and understandable. Gesture: a cultural difference, don't put your hand to your heart (only use to express a very emotional feeling), don't move slightly your head all the time (make the audience feels you're not seriously). Keep the head straight with eye contact, and possibly a short hand shake.
Hi everyone, this is my video "introduction to patient". Can you watch it and give me some advice? I'm glad for that.

I hope you enjoy it!
Repost a copy from FB: Warm altitude, friendly gesture, but need more eye contact. You only need the first 17 sec. The rest (signposting) could be done later. Don't waste time to play around, just go directly to CC and HPI (which we'll practice next, not for this time)
