Yesterday started one of the greatest sporting events of the year, The Masters. Oklahoma State is heavily represented this year with 5 former players in the field https://www.ltoutletstore.com/Messiah_Farinas_Jersey-140. Let's take a look at how they each did in the first round at Augusta National. Rickie Fowler- 2-under par: Fowler had a solid first round shooting a 70 for 2-under par. As I'm typing this he is tied for fourth with a group of players that includes Tiger Woods. He started the day off kind of rocky with a bogey on par-4 hole three. Luckily that would be his only bogey of the day. He would make up for it on the back nine with three birdies including back to back birdies on 11 and 12. Here's a look at those shots. Going to the clubhouse a shot off the lead on the first day isn't too shabby. If he plays like this in round 2 he'll be in really good shape headed into the weekend. As he hunts for his first major, he played a first round that's got him on the right track. He currently is 4-shots of the lead after everyone finished. Viktor Hovland even par: It's already a good day when you make history for your home country, it's an even better day when you play good golf. Hovland has a good chance to be the lowest amateur in this field. Hovland has lowest score of the amateurs currently. Par isn't a bad first round in a major, ever. Especially when it's on one of the biggest stages in the sport. He would have four birdies in this round. Including his second shot in a major tournament. Then there was this one on 15.Oh and he almost had a hole-in-one. If that had gone in I would have passed out - guaranteed. Kevin Tway even par: Tway is tied with Hovland at 29 after he also shot a 72 in round one. He would have four birdies on the front nine but he has also had some rough patches bogeying three times in the front nine. He would start to make up ground in the back nine with just one bogey on 11 but couldn't undo the damage of a poor start Kayshon Boutte Jersey. He would have the first birdie of the tournament.Charles Howell III 1-over par:Howell III struggled late in his round with bogeys on 3 of the last 4 holes. He would also start off the masters with a bogey. He did also end his first day on the course with four birdies, two of which came on par fives on holes eight and 13. Hopefully he can come can come out with better day in round two. He's sitting tied in 44th after everyone has completed their round. Alex Noren 3-over par: Noren had a rough day out there in round 1. He double bogeyed on 10 after hitting it into the rough and would bogey on three other holes. He struggled to find the fairways quite a bit and seemed frustrated, not that you can blame him Xavier Hill Jersey. He did manage to find birdies on the par-5 2 and 13 holes. Hopefully Noren will be able to score some redemption in the next round. Over all, the players you would expect to perform well did and the players that you would expect to struggle did.
